Cutting back on carbohydrates such as wheat, milk, and some fruit may help relieve symptoms of Crohn's disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), a new study suggests. Australian researchers found that restricting these foods relieved inflammation, bloating, pain, and diarrhea in a small study. Experts say that up to 50 percent of Crohn's sufferers also have IBS.
