The U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Humira for the treatment of moderate to severe Crohn's disease. The FDA estimates that about 1 million Americans suffer from Crohn's disease. Humira has been shown to treat the symptoms of Crohn's and to induce clinical remission in some patients.
