Drugmaker Sucampo is seeking Food and Drug Administration approval to provide a 8 mcg version of Amitiza for patients with constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). A 24 mcg version of Amitiza is currently approved for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation. Read more »
