Study: 2 drugs better than 1 for Crohn's disease

An international team of researchers has found that Crohn's disease patients who are given both Remicade and Azasan are more likely to have the disease go into steroid-free remission than those who are given only one of these drugs. In the study of 508 patients with moderate-to-severe Crohn's, scientists found that 72.2 percent of patients who'd received the Remicade/Azasan drug combination were in steroid-free remission at the end of the trial, compared to 60.8 percent who'd received Remicade alone and 54.7 percent who had taken Azasan alone.
