I just found this site recently and i hope it helps others. My 11 year old son still needs to wear a diaper but he cant help it, truth is i tried potty training him a few times (not that he was even interested) then we just gave up because my oldest was VERY hard to train and hes wet the bed his whole life and i didn't want to go through that again. I feel really bad for my boy since hes always getting lots of grief from it and doesnt have many friends. Changing a big kids diapers all the time did get really tiring, but i think we are closer because of it. He really hates wearing a diaper so i hope he can maybe at least outgrow it a little bit some day even if he is adorable in them. I didnt know their were so many people who needed them until i joined this site. That makes me feel a lot better about having an 11 year old still wearing a diaper, because i almost feel like a failure because of it. Other Moms are always looking down on us even though its not my boys fault but i do know another Mom who puts their kid in a diaper when outside just to avoid embarassing accidents. But i think without diapers my boy would be a completely different person today but i wish i didnt have to keep changing his diapers at 11 years old. Hi I just read your message and had to comment first of all I don't think you should blame your self there are thousands out trhere that wear diapers for all sorts of reasons I have just read another message on this site from a mum that has a fourteen year old son that has asked to wear diapers he is not incontinent he just wants to wear them. So you see there are lots of reasons I have worn diapers all my life and they are part of me now I even laugh and joke with my friends about my diapers no one takes any notice so if he spends the rest of his life in diapers he will get used to it. At his age I think it would be very dificult to train him to use the toilet because his bladder won't have developed so I would have thought it is too late now I think you should have a chat with him and brake it slowly to him that he might be in diaper for the rest of his life. I hope I am wrong but I have read of cases like this before and the out come was not great.
