My incontinence is a by-product of Multiple Sclerosis. I HAD gone and hope to resume going to a renowned urogynegologist in NY, NY. At first I was just using Serenity Pads & learning to do the Keigel exercises ('tho I didn't practice enough each day). When it got worse, I went back to the same dotor & he wanted me to used 'inserted' catheters. Two days later I broke my knee (falling on ice) and was unable to continue. NOW, 2 1/2 years later (due to a disasterous surgery & non-recovery of my knee in 1/06, I was almost immoble); had arthoscopic surgery11/07(done by different surgeon who knows what he's doing & what recovery involves), followed by competent physical therapy and am much better (knee-wise); my knee will never function as well as it did.
Anyway, I'm using Depend Extra Absorbency undergarments -- but will to go back to see what this doctor decides. In the last several months I've awakened with urine in my "undergarment"; this is new. Also, when I drink water I MUST be near a bathroom...so I can't even have a sip of water without feeling the urge to urinate.
To be continued....
