Since my TURP three years ago, I have been unable to empty completely when I void. If I do (even when the Botox is active) I get severe pain/spasms that last 15-60 seconds, with a pain level of around 9-10 (on a scale of 0-10).

I'm sure many of you, like me, have been dealing with incontinence and the associated issues for a long time. And, like me, I'm sure you have had your share of disappointments in trying to obtain medical care for it.

(I should have titled this post "Catheter Woes" but I think "Foley Woes" is a more memorable title!)
Although it has been almost four weeks since my Botox procedure and "Foley" left about two weeks ago, my bladder has not fully recovered so I still have to self-catheterize to empty. "Foley" left some scar tissue at my urinary opening... Read more

As many of you who have read my SharePosts know, I have access to intravesical Botox (which is "fancy" way of saying Botox injections into my bladder!) for my urge incontinence (UI). My UI developed as a side effect of a TURP to remove some infected tissue that was thought to be contributing to chronic UTIs.
