During removal of the uterus and TVT procedure to correct incontinence, I developed a 12 cm hematoma. I am now 8 weeks post-op with unpredictable bladder control and back pain. Recent sonogram shows very little reduction in size of hematoma. Gynecologist feels the hematoma will dissolve eventually. Vascular surgeon says it is hard and will not dissolve and the only relief for symptoms is surgical removal. Who do I believe? What type of specialist should I see?
