Brands of Plastic Pants for Older Bedwetters and Companies that Sell Them

By Colin Thursday, April 09, 2009

Although the other pants mentioned might be slightly more expensive it might be worth the investment particularly if you're using the pants for years. In a situation such as this it might be worth paying a little extra for plastic pants that are more durable as opposed to buying several pairs of pants that are less expensive but will wear out quicker.

Another thing to keep in mind is this. I've heard of people buying multiple pairs of plastic pants in order to rotate the pants in the laundry cycle so they can cut down the wear on one pant. Also there are some people who have more than one favorite brand of plastic pants. For example I read about people who use both the Comco and Suprima brand of plastic pants.

I hope this list is helpful to parents who might be having difficulty deciding on what type of plastic pants to purchase for their older child, adolescent,or teenager that wets the bed. Keep in mind that the brands mentioned are just some of the ones available. The ones mentioned in this article are ones that are well thought of by many people. There is one thing to remember when purchasing incontinence supplies however, and that's this-purchasing incontinence supplies is a highly personal thing and while it's good to get other peoples input keep in mind that what other people say are opinions. It's good to explore as many options as possible in order to choose a product that offers good protection,is well made( if you decide to wear reusables),and that has a good price. Whatever you do don't get discouraged if it takes you a while to find an appropriate product.

I've bought them all over the past eight years of my incon. They all have their excelent design merits. My preference for what its worth is KINS. They are well proportioned and fit very well and are quiet if that's an issue. However!!!!!!

If kins could make a Euroflex pant ,I would buy a case.

With older bedwetters keeping their bedclothes and bedding dry can be a chore.  We have switched from pinning diapers to pullon diapers with our 2 bedwetters this makes it easier for the child to be able to take care of getting ready for bed by themselves.  One thing we did find was that with the pullons was that they are a bit higher waisted then the regular pin on style and so the waist of the diaper would sometimes rise above the waist of the plastic pants when they moved during sleep and wicking or leaking would occur.  Both beds have waterproof sheeting on them to act as backup to these type of things because nothing works 100% of the time.    What we did was to order from the Adult Cloth Diaper people the high back plastic pants and that solved the problem.  The ADCD people have added smaller sizes to these pants as well as colors so we let them choose the colors they liked.  You can also still get regular white as well.

We feel it is important the the bedwetters feel as comfortable as possible with their situation and so letting them wake up in dry bedding and bedclothes we feel is a step in this direction.
