Pin-on diapers

Hi Colin,
Thanks for your comments regarding pin-on diapers.
Our son Alexander wears pin-on diapers during the night and very often during the day too. We have tried pull-on cloth diapers but they are difficult to change when he has had a messing accident. Pin-on diapers are much easier to change in that case.
We prefer to use the kite folding technique because it is the most comfortable for him and gives a good fit. Furthermore the kite fold gives room in his diaper for a big messing accident with low risk of leakage - even if he is active playing after the accident.
The only disadvantage of the kite folding technique is that it is difficult to fold the diaper correctly and it requires that the child is laying down during the diapering. In our case it is not a big issue as Alexander is not able to diaper himself and he is always diapered on by an adult on a changing table.
At school he wears disposable diapers but they are not so comfortable for him as the pin-on cloth diapers.
Best regards/Anna

Thank you Colin for the site www.incontinentsupport.org.. I found the writing you mentioned and it truly seems to be EVERYTHING ONE WILL EVER NEED TO KNOW ABOUT diapers and related (plastic/rubber/nylon over pants) needs.
I registered and am a member of that site.. Again.. Thank You Colin..

The velcro fasteners don't hold as well, but what's even more annoying is they get threads and crud stuck in them each time you wash them. The pins are much more effective.

Pullon Diapers for Older Bedwetters

We recently switched our older bedwetters to pullon diapers worn under plastic pants, it seems easier for all concerned as they get ready for bed and there are no more folding or pins to worry about. We did have to get hiback plastic pants to make sure the diapers were properly covered and stayed covered all night, that was the only difference. They are comfortable to the wearers and there have been no leaks.

hi i was glad to see your reply as i am an older bedwetter and when I turned 18 my Mom got me pullup diapers with liners and the high back panties and so far no leaks and can finaly get ready for bed by myself, She recently bought me some comco super brifes that are like a really thick pull on and they are rated for up to 42 ounces and once washed feel comfortable and them along with the high back panties keep my bed dry.
