You draw attention to obesity in an uncommon way with it's link to stress incontinence. Thank you for pointing this out once again.

 

As you've said, obesity has become a national epidemic for Americans - the all-around risk factor. There's not one area of health that won't ultimately suffer from it - urinary health included.

I'm overweight. Not morbidly obese but probably a good 60 pounds overweight. I'm working on losing the weight and have probably lost about 8 or so pounds in the past month. I'm on my way. Will losing most or all of the excess weigh reduce/improve the stress incontinence situation even before getting surgery? I'd like to avoid getting the surgery and wanted to reduce my weight anyway.
