I have no problem with universal "preventative" healthcare, but society should not be responsible for curing all illnesses anymore than it is for feeding everyone.  Preventative care would more than pay for itself in increased productivity and prevention of more costly interventions, but I do not want to pay for a lung transplant for a lifelong smoker. Do you?
