I had my first baby 2,5 years ago and she was delivered vaginally. It was a very long and paintful delivery and I suffered a lot afterwards. I had an infection after the birth, I had a problem with incontinence for quite a long time and the wall of my vagina got lower (it's quite visible). I also have a scar as I had a cut to help the baby out. I don't know if it's due to that but before the pregnancy I enjoyed sex life more. Now it can be paintful at times. Now I'm 8 months pregnant and I am asking for elective cesarian section. My consultant is going to decide in 2 weeks time but until now tried to put me off very hard. I understand that it's an operation and may be risky but I've experienced a lot of problems after having a normal delivery and don't believe that my pelvic floor dysfunction won't get worst after another normal delivery. I am 28 years old and don't want to have this sort of problems - I'm too younf for it... Vaginall deliveries are not great as well - every woman is different - some may not feel any difference after it but another - like me - have a big problem.
