I have been on Detrol La (4 mg) for almost one year due to OAB.  This medication has given me much relief with only a side effect of a dry mouth. Recently I went to my dentist on a routine visit and his diagnose indicated that I had 5 cavities.  This was unusual since I had not had any cavities for at least the last five years.  The dentist asked if I had a dry mouth, which I confirmed.  He said that he believed that this is the cause of my cavities.  He also thought that the Detrol medication contributed to the  dry mouth, which caused the cavities.  Since I had the cavities taken care of I have been experience sensitivity and pain in my jaw and some of my teeth.  I do not wish to stop taking Detrol because it has given me much needed relief.  I was wondering if anyone on this Post has had similar experience.  If so, I would appreciate any assistance on how you resolved this problem.  Thank you.

Welcome to our community. You've shared an interesting problem and one that is understandably cause for concern. I hope that other community members who've maybe had the same trouble will comment soon as well. It would be good to hear more perspectives on this.
