I had a tvt on 11/6/08 and I am experiencing right groin pain.  By reading comments on several other websites about this surgery it sounds like it is a common problem.

tks for reply. yes, ive still got this uncomfortable pulling feeling in groin. my surgeon says it is probably due to excessive sports training i have possibly damaged scar tissue and it will eventually heal, but no real risk.

Anita thanks for your response.   I have not done any excessive exercising at all and I still have the pain.  My doctor can not find any reason for it but it's there.

I started physical therapy last week and that has helped some.

I had the TVT surgery in august of 2005, and experienced pain post operative.  Within a month or two, I was having serious groin pain, and the Dr's nurse told me it was spasms.  I too was doing exercise, with most of mine water step aerobics.   The doctors told me it was my back, bladder spasms, Adductor muscle strain or groin strain, but when the mri was done there was no change that would cause problems.  Then in May of 2007 my Gyn discovered mesh eroded, and sent me to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville Tennessee.  The Doctor at Vandy removed 80% of the mesh and I was immediatley relieved of the groin pain.  He said the mesh had never adheared to begin with, had fallen down, wrapped over the pubic bone and migrated right,  cutting tissue with every step I took.  A few weeks ago, the other 20% of the mesh was found to have eroded again and I am now going back into surgery to remove that around the end of December.  In the mean time, I am back to having pain, especially in my bladder.  Good luck to you and hopefully you dont have the problems I have had
