Hello! I am another victim of mesh erosion and certainly am concerned about where to go from here. I wish that I had never heard the words! Anyway, I wonder if anyone can tell me how to get our Drs. to take this stuff out of me! My new surgeon wants to cut the bad part out and sew me together, but I am only 45 and concerned... vaginal mesh erosion

What causes mesh erosion and why are so many women suffering from this? I had a surgery to correct vaginal and rectol prolasps....using the mesh. Also a sling was put on my urethra, now 6 months later, everything has to come out...I am schedualed this coming week for yet a third surgery.
