Q: How do I approach the subject of bedwetting with a new Dr.?

Should I tell him everything, wearing disposable diapers, wetting myself at times outside the home?

It is easy, just do what I did and tell them that you have an issue with some leaky plumbing.

I try and put it in a way that is kind of funny, and it breaks the ice, and the hardest part is the initial conversation about incontinence.

If you have you past medical records with you then your doctor will already know.

Thanks, that sounds like something I might be comfortable with.

Agree, the same as you would have talked to your old doc.  Your doctor wont judge you.  He deals with this day in and day out.  Its called patient doctor relations and privacy
