Hi Andre:
Is it safe to assume you have discussed this with your present urologist? If so, did he prescribe a medication to help slow down urination? If not, you might want to ask for medication help. If you do not get any cooperation from him/her, then it may be time to look elsewhere.
Since it has already been six months after surgery, and you have had no relief in your incontinence symptoms, I suggest you consult another Urologist for a second opinion. It is possible the urologist you have now is strictly a uro-surgeon and not used to dealing with day to day patient symptoms. Some urologists cut, some urologist treat.
If you are at a loss as to whom to consult, contact your medical plan to learn if you need referrals. If you do not, contact the largest teaching hospital in your area, ask for the name and phone number of a urologist who specializes in treating prostate conditions.
Good luck in your treatment. Please stop back and leave a note to let us know how you are doing.
Anne
