leaky bladder AFTER TVT. Can it be redone?

6 years ago I had a TVT. I have no pain, but have leakage. Need to wear pad. What have you heard about having one redone?

The difficulty in these procedures is that we still don't know how long they will last.  Much like a knee replacement, there is a certain life span for that device inserted in your knee.  As orthopedic procedures and products have improved over time, they knee replacements seem to be lasting longer. 

 

The TVT procedure is no different.  Some products have been more successful than others, but it is still unknown what the expected length of effectiveness is.  This would be a great question for your urogyn or directly for your surgeon.
