Q: Enablex, diapers or not?

Ok, for a quick story. I have in college in 2008, times were tough including my studying. I had some very tough times sleeping and starting wetting the bed then dribbling during the day. I went to the Doc on campus and he stated that it was due to the stress that I was under. Oh I was 42 at the time. I have never know that I was a bed wetter till then.

So I endured putting on diapers to get through school. Well that lasted till the end of the spring of 09. In the mean time I became engaged to the most wonderful gal who accepted me for my and what I was going through. I was wearing diapers 24/7 so I would not embarras myself let alone her when we went out.

I have since graduated and have moved out of state. Now that I have insurance, which I did not before, I have see a doc and all is ok according to the test results, have not gone to a urogogist yet, scared. OK. since I do have insurance my doc gave me enablex for 30 days, 7.5 ml. and has worked great, only 7 accidents and 5 were at night.

So after the physical, I told her my results from the intial RX and she increased it to 15.  I have already have had one night time bed wetting time and two day time. i did n't make to to the bath room in time. And I didn't wake up in the night.

So my question is. is enablex a good RX, should I give it some time or what?

I have never taken enablex but it has worked that well so far I would think that giving it more time would prove out how well it could for you. as far as the diapers go you should be able to go Protective underwear w/a booster pad. Depends Tena & several other make the protective for men.

Thanks

Use all medications with caution.

I have not tried Enablex, but I have tried just about everything else, and nothing works 100%.

It seems that some will help, but even then I still leaked, just not as much or as often.

Most of the meds have side affects and none work 100% so just be careful.

Here is another kick in the pants.  Very soon after you stop the medication, your incontinence will be back as strong as before.  It is only a temporary fix to a problem that may not be solved.  I tried medications but hated them, you can euse medications for a few days before a need to be away from diapers.  The thing is one you stop the meds again, you will be right back to square one again.  You have to decide what is best for you and your needs.
