I am a very active 37 year old guy and I was wondering what health risk are there when I have to wear either an extened wear diaper (MegaCareline) or a booster pad inside my "normal" daily diaper (Attends)?

I usually change every 2-3 hours during the day unless I am unable to due to work, and that is when I have been using the boosters or the nightime diaper.

Thanks

Unless you have an infection, urine is a sterile substance, so it generally shouldn't cause an infection to use an extended wear or booster pad. The main problem that you might look out for is skin breakdown, which can happen whenever the skin is exposed to moisture for too long. Many high-quality pads are designed to wick the moisture away from the skin. You might try getting a few samples of different brands and types, lay them open and pour about a cup of water on each (make sure you use the same amount for each pad). Wait ten minutes or so and then feel the pads with your hand to see which one has wicked away the moisture the best.

I agree with the other poster. Be sure to keep yourself clean & dry as possible to help with diaper rash or skin break down
