Q: Can there be a connection between Crohn's disease and urinary incontinence?

I have recently been diagnosed with Crohn's disease.  However, there are times when I find it impossible to hold back my need to urinate.  Also, there are times when a strong urge to urinate seems to bring on the loss of bowel control, so symptomatic of Crohn's.  Is there a connection between having Crohn's and urinary incontinence?  Can you explain?

I'm not a doctor, but I know from my own experience, there could be.

I have UUI and severe bladder spasms if I void completely. Sometimes these spasms seem to radiate deep into my pelvic area, causing rectal spasms as well. This sometimes results in having to "go to the bathroom" immediately.
