Q: does UTI alter menstruation cycle??

I was having UTI about 2 months ago. I had cipro for 3 days. And since then I'm not menstruating. Is this the reason for that?

And yes I have tested if it was pregnancy.. but it aint the case..

and if it is not. then what may be the reason??

I find nothing that supports the idea of a UTI altering the menstrual cycle. Conversely, however, proper hygiene and cleanliness during menstruation can decrease the risk for developing a UTI.   - MG

Hi there,

 

We have the same case but I haven't tested yet if its pregnancy but i dont have any signs or symptoms that im pregnant. I think cipro has something to do with it, last month was a very light period like spotting then this month no period at all. its so weird. pls answer
