Q: Our 8 year old has been rebelling for not getting her way by occassionally wetting/messing her pants. She has now started at the sitters after school Now the sitter wants her to wear a diaper. Help!

I think the sitter is taking the right approach "your going to act like a baby I'll treat you like one" and by making the child wear a diaper she can get the full effect of how she's acting

I would sit her down and tell her to stop it and ask her why she is doing this.  listen to what she has to say and tell her that day care rules will apply if she pulls this at daycare.  If she chooses to wet or mess at daycare, they will choose to put her in diapers.  tell her that she will be put in diapers at daycare if she does this again and then do it.  The same rules can apply at home to reinforce that this is not positive behavior.  Time outs may be more effective as diapers for punishment may not be the answer, communication is number one.

you may want to just want to have her wear diapers until she's past that when she's angry its ok to express by peeing and pooping because its in a diaper

All i say is if she acts like a baby treat her like one by makeing earlyer bettime  put her in diapers and make her watch babies progammes.
