Q: had back surgery in 2006 and I am now having infrequent urine output..just a coincidence or related?

I had a spinal fusion in 2006 L5/S1...now I am having issues with infrequent urination.  I can go once every 12 hours, easy!  Any ideas/advice?  Thanks!  Cool

Bladder function is very much tied in with your spinal cord and nerves - the nerves surrounding and intertwined in the bladder wall send messages via your spinal cord to and from your brain alerting you to fullness and the need to urinate. If you are a man you may want to see a urologist, or if you are a woman you can see a urologist or a urogynecologist. The doctor will be able to perform some tests to help you identify the problem.
