Took my first dose of FLOMAX, for this time, after dinner last night - did not sleep a wink all night and have not slept a wink all day today (10:30 PM) and when I arose this morning, I suffered with the sweats, dizziness, faintness, nausea and general weakness - an AWFUL FEELING.  I keep 5 small children and I need my strength and stamina.  Will these symptoms get better, hopefully?  PLEASE HELP ME.Embarassed

I took my at bedtime to reduce the impacts from the side effects. I did have dizziness, some (not a lot) faintness, but no nausea. Did have some weakness, but it could have been from feeling slightly faint.

One of the side effects of Flomax can be a sudden drop in blood pressure, so people on it should be warned to stand up slowly. I never passed out from it, but I did feel a little faint if I got up too quickly.

If the side effects are great enough to make you want to stop, check with your doctor.

Yes my father is feeling the same. He feels very dizzy and a lot of weakness in his legs.  I want for him to stop taking flomax.  I think the sides effects are worst than good.  You need to check if you are taking other medications. What are the interaction between them?
