Is Flomax always used for BPH? Flomax is always for BPH? True or False

Not necessarily. Sometimes it is used to treat other conditions, such as Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) in men who don't have BPH or flow problems.

Hi Martin,

Thank you for your question. Flomax (generic name tamsulosin) is only FDA approved for the treatment of BPH. That is not to say that it isn't helpful in other conditions, but it is not approved for the treatment of other diseases or conditions. I hope this answers your question.
