Q: I had TVT surgery 11 days ago. Now I'm being told that I might need a second surgery

I've had 3 post op visits and I've been unable to void on my own. I still have a catheter. I have to go back in a few days for a 4th 'voiding trial test.' If I don't pass it, I'm being told that I'll need a 2nd surgery to loosen the sling. After the hell I had with this first surgery (Staying 2 days in the hospital for a 20 minute day surgery due to too much Ativan being given to me prior to surgery,) I don't want another surgery, especially right after this one. This was supposed to FIX the problem...not make it worse. Is this normal? Do I have any other less 'severe' options available to me?
