A supra pubic catheter block with a bladder neck closure.What happens with a paraplegic patient.

We have a client who has just had a SPC inserted ,as well as an elective bladder -neck closure.They have a neurogenic ,dysfunctional bladder.With a bladder neck closure ,
I presume they are unable to bypass urine in an obvious manner and wonder if any susequent urinary pressure, is reduced in another way ,before the blockage is noted, or ,is an acute reaction of some sort ,the result?
