Q: twisted kegel muscle

I was wondering if it is posible to pull your kegel muscle the wrong way.  I am having muscle spasms in the muscles in that area and I feel a muscle is pulled in the wrong direction.  My urologists says there is nothing wrong with me but I feel pain in my bladder by warer the kegel muscle is and I have incontinence.

Melissa,

While I suppose any muscle in the body could be pulled or "twisted" the wrong way, I'm not sure about the feeling you're having in your "Kegel" muscle, especially if your urologist has examined you and found nothing to be abnormal.

However, since you're having pain in the bladder area and are also experiencing incontinence, here's an overview of the common types of incontinence that might be helpful to you:

Types of Incontinence

Review these to see if anything sounds familiar, then talk with your doctor again.

Best,

Maria
