i have been switched to oxybutynin 5 mg to take 2xday instead of 10 mg time release what times/take

i was changed to the 5 mg twice a day since wall mart would not cover the 10 mg time released rx.  what are the best times for me to start with the twice a day dosages and should the times be consistent on a day to day basis.

Hi Mich,

 

Thank you for your question! You should try to keep the medications spaced as equally apart as possible. Try for a 12 hour difference, say 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. You should try to keep the times consistent, and consistently 12 hours apart to keep the concentration of drug in the body as even as possible.
