Q: I have a kidney infection and i don't want to visit my doctor, help?

I had one kidney infection last year and it was so bad I couldn't walk! I went to the doctor and he gave me an antibiotic and advised plenty of water, it worked. Then just last week, i started getting a burning like pain when urinating, and urinating frequently, then a few days ago i woke up with really bad back pain in the right hand side, and chills, also no energy. I took breadsoda in water yesterday with pain killers and plenty of water and cranberry juice, and today i feel fine, the back pain is gone, and i don't feel so cold. So could the infection be going? Do i really need to get an antibiotic to clear it? Although today i am urinating frequently and it's still uncomfortable. Should it pass if I drink plenty of water?

My advice is: GET YOUR BUT TO YOUR DOCTOR'S OFFICE! Many things can cause painful urination; all of them require prompt medical attention. If it turns out to be a uti, you are lucky. Reply
