I have spinal stenosis. This prevents me from emptying my bladder completely. Comment on condition?

I have had bladder problems for approximately 10 years since experiencing symptoms of spinal stenosis. I cannot empty my bladder completely. If my bladder is too full and I cough or sneeze I have leakage. My doctor has prescribed 3 medications usually used by men for prostate problems which produce severe back and leg pain. I have never been able to take them long enough to find out if they would be effective because of the pain. Could you comment on this condition and any treatments that might be effective, other than medications.

Hello,

You may want to try Kegel exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles to better manage your incontinence. See:
