Q: I had a TVT, but since my op I have no bladder control!

Got a catheter put in and then progressed to a valve, it turns out that my bladder can't empty completely, I can only pass urine for 8 secs at a time which leads to my bladder emptying by itself. Was supposed to be going on hols in 2 weeks but can't now as this is really affecting my daily life. The doctor is suggesting botox injections, but after reading about it I'm not sure if they will help.

You've indicated you have no bladder control, but you also say you can only pass urine for 8 seconds at a time. Could you be having overflow incontinence because your sling may be a little tight? Your bladder may be filling the point that it just can't physically hold anymore and is leaking out. Could this be it?
