Q: Being admitted in the hospital how do ask for a diaper to wear during your stay for incontinence
Just let them know that you are incontinent & need a diaper to keep it under control. If it is bladder incontinence they may set you up with a condom catheter & a bed bag or the doctor may order an indwelling catheter & bed bag
When you fill all the forms in say that you have to wear diapers and hopefully they will putt them on for you.
I was in the hospital once getting checked for some cuts and bruises I sustained in a mountain bike crack up..just got called to wait in room..and started to walk there..whn I felt quizzy feeling ..then felt the back of my diapers and rubber pants expand..well needless to say.. what I had done..at that moment a nurse walked in and not only asked me.. right away if I want a diaper but..I had a choice either.. cloth or.. disposable and did I need any help top change it. the one place one should never be ascared to ask for help or a diaper.. is the hospital...have a great day ty.. readers in the comunity
You would usually ask the nurse who works there for a large pampers adullt diaper. She will ask you to remove your jeans, panties and bra. Then she will open the large pampers adult diaper she will ask you to lay down on the bed she will pull the diaper up your private parts then she will tape the right tab then the left tab. Then you can put on your hospital gown. The nurse will probably change your diaper when you use the bathroom.
Go in wearing one when you are admitted. During the inprocessing when they are asking you all sorts of questions, make sure that you tell them you are incontinent and have to wear diapers. They will keep you supplied, but it's cheaper if you take your own!
Let the nurse station know you are incontinent and perfer a diaper over cathing. They'll bill you for the pads though.
