Q: When I have PTNS treatment, will I have sensations in Vagina and Anus?

When researching about sacrel nerve stimulation, I read that I might have weird sensations during treatment. Is this true?

Percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) is a minimally-invasive treatment that's used to decrease chronic pelvic pain in people with lower urinary tract dysfunctions such as urinary tract infection and urge or frequency incontinence.

 

During this treatment you may have a slight pulling sensation in your pelvic area, but no pain should be felt. For more information, see:
