Many man experience temporary incontinence following prostate surgery, but at a year and nine months out, you might want to start preparing for the incontinence to be more permanent. The good news is that there are treatment options. Most doctors start by recommending pelvic floor exercises, which you can learn through physical therapy or biofeedback. If that doesn't give you the results you are looking for, you might look into surgery. There is a sling surgery that lifts up the urethra to give you better bladder support and control, and there is also a surgery that implants an artificial urinary sphincter.
Good luck!
Lotto, Had the same procedure 5 years ago and still am incontinent (not as bad as it was in the beginning) and the ED is a pain also. You can try all sorts of drugs - but check them out VERY well. The ED is another situation Drugs, Shots, Pumps. Unfortunately for men this procedure is more butchery than they let you know up front. They are getting better and finaly listening to men who have finally started to speak up. But we are left with results (side affects) that are too often unacceptable. Good luck and keep trying new things and talk to doctor, but be very careful with drugs, diapers won't kill you, some of the drugs will or will affect memory or worst. Papa
