In March of 2008, I had surgery in which a device called a transvaginal obturator tape. Since then, I've had frequent urinary tract infections and pelvic pain. I also can no longer enjoy sexual intercourse because the pain is so severe. I need to know the maker of this transvaginal obturator tape, and what my options are. Thank You, Dorothy Leonard

Get a copy of the medical records for the operation where the tape was implanted. There should be a page called the "Implant Log," which would document the breand name of the TVT tape. You should act quickly, so that the statute of limitations does not expire. Some states have a 2 year limit on commencing lawsuits...other states have a 3 yeart limit.
