Q: Dealing with incontinence

I have been feeling the need to urinate often and will get up several times during the night.  Also after I have urinated a lot or after I get up in the morning I have noticed an odor.  Also I have frequent burning whether I have gone to the bathroom or not.  I have had these symptoms since December.  The doctor has ruled out diabetes, urinary tract infection, bladder infection, and vaginal infection and has had me on Vesicare for a week.  Before that I was on another cheap medicine for incontinence but I can't remember the name.  I am really frustrated and the doctors can't seem to figure out what is wrong with me.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you drinking adequate water?  Concentrated urine in the bladder is an irritant to the bladder and the urethral opening.  Be aware that certain fluids can increase the sensation of the need to urinate including:  caffeine, alcohol and most artificial sweetners.  I hope that this helps!

I drink just water and when I want something with some taste I drink juice.
