Should I be ashamed of my incontinence?

Incontinence is certainly one of those health conditions that tends to carry more stigma and shame. But like with any medical problem, there's no reason you "should" be ashamed of having incontinence. See these SharePosts:

 I am not ashamed of being incontinent,it is nothing to be ashamed of.

 I did however have a hard time dealing with wearing diapers to protect from wetting my bed at night and at times I wear them away from home.

 I still feel strange when I put on my disposable diaper,and when I have to change from a wet one.I am not sure this will ever become easier for me to deal with.

 I found this site very helpful in many ways,I hope you do also.

The most important thing is to learn to live with it, and move on. It is easy to dwell on the fact that you might have to wear diapers, but in the big picture, there are som many other things to worry about.

As one of my doctors said "build a bridge and get over it".
