Causes Of Incontinence

A study of 2,400 women suggests that being overweight is more
likely to cause incontinence than going through menopause. Over six
years, 14 percent of incontinent women reported worsening symptoms,
32 percent reported fewer symptoms, and 52 percent reported no
change. Doctors had suspected that the increase in incontinence in
midlife was due in part to the loss of estrogen during menopause.
