Kidney Dialysis Procedure

Drugmaker Baxter HealthCare Corp., which makes half of the blood
thinner Heparin sold in the United States, is temporarily
suspending production of some injectable doses of the med after
reports of severe allergic reactions--and possibly four deaths--in
some patients. Heparin is used to prevent blood clots in patients
undergoing such procedures as kidney dialysis and heart surgery.
