Behavioral intervention plus meds may ease incontinence

A new study suggests that combining medication with behavioral therapy may help ease incontinence. Researchers studied 416 adults with overactive bladder symptoms whose symptoms were not controlled by Detrol alone. After sixteen weeks, 64 percent of patients who had been given Detrol along with self-administered behavioral therapy instructions reported being very satisfied with their incontinence symptoms, while 91 percent reported being a little satisfied.
