Leucovorin Calcium Oral Uses

This medication is used to treat or prevent serious blood cell disorders (such as thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, anemia) caused by certain drugs (folic acid antagonists such as methotrexate, trimethoprim, pyrimethamine).

How To Use Leucovorin Calcium Oral

Take this medication by mouth with or without food, usually every 6 hours or once daily or as directed by your doctor.

Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Doses above 25 milligrams are not recommended.

Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time(s) each day.

Tell your doctor if you are unable to take this medication because of nausea/vomiting. You may need to be switched to the injection form of this medication.
