Palonosetron IV Uses

This medication is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy. It may also be used to prevent nausea and vomiting after surgery.

It works by blocking the hormone (serotonin) that causes vomiting.

How To Use Palonosetron IV

This medication is given by injection into a vein by a health care professional. It is usually given 30 minutes before chemotherapy or right before anesthesia for surgery.
