Menopause Symptoms and "State of Mind"

By patricia7 Wednesday, October 15, 2008

I'm 46 years young and wondering if your state of mind plays a part in whether or not you will have some symptoms, all symptoms, or none at all. I am a very happy-go-lucky person -- love life, love people, very positive. But, I can honestly say I have maybe eight out of the 15+ symptoms that I know of. They don't weigh me down, maybe because I know what to expect. Also, excercise works for me. I've also gained about 15 pounds since I've entered premenopause and it's the hardest to lose. Any suggestions?!  Cry

I think it totally does have a bit to do with how you feel.  I think it also depends on how strong of a person you are as well.  Like when I was pregnate I never had morning sickness or anything but sometimes you here people complain through the whole 9 months.  Are you having symptoms of menapause now?  I found this great site http://www.hormone.org/menopause/ when I was researching my symptoms (it is nonprofit so you know they are not tring to just sell you something faulse).  Very informational you should check it out.
