Hi Dorian,
I recently came across this old article and i'm so relieved to know that I am not the only person having these "strange symptoms". I've been to the ER twice this year with all the symptoms of a heart attack. Fortunately, the tests were all negative. I also have the internal shaking, brain buzzing and a severe case of tinnitus but when I try to describe this to my doctor, he just looks at me like i'm nuts!
I'm 49 and in perimenopause...any advice on how to cope would be greatly appreciated.
You may want to talk to a doctor who specializes in menopause about what you're experiencing. If I were in your shoes, I'd make a journal that chronicles all of your issues as well as your menstrual cycle. You also may want to talk to the doctor about getting a low dose of prescribed hormones to see if they help. I also tend to focus on what I can control; therefore, I'd encourage you to get regular exercise, eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, and lower stress levels. These actions also may help you with some of your issues.
Take care and keep us posted!
Dorian
