I try to reach out to anyone that is going through cancer or knows someone going through cancer. I got breast cancer in 1997, my husband of 36 years died of cancer in March of 1998, my mother died of cancer June 0f 1998, my youngest brother died of cancer at 52 in 2005, my oldest brother died of cancer in 2007 and my youngest sister is now dealing with treatments for throat cancer.  My biggest thing is to encourage anyone that has to go through chemo to shave their heads prior to the first treatment so that it is not so traumatic when they do lose their hair. It appeared as little whiskers on my chest one morning when showering. Better than having big globs of hair fall out.
