I am 49 and for the past year have experienced the hot flashes, mood swings and missed periods. You are right to listen to your body. I had a tubal ligation, so I know I am not pregnant. To me it is like going through puberty, your body changes. It is around the time I am supposed to get my period, I go through these drastic changes and have to tell my husband to just leave me be. It is hard for a man to understand these changes and in the long run, they get better and so does your relationship with your spouse.
Anyone going through these changes, don't panic. It is a part of being a woman, you got through the periods didn't you?

At 47 I have just missed a period... I KNOW i'm not pregnat... Oh I do hope it IS the "change!!". Its ironic... it took 35 years for my cycle to become regular.... 1 year where it worked like clockwork, then off we go again ...
