Topics:starting hrt

Just starting Vivelle dot .1 mg and Prometrium 200 mg continuously. After 10 days, I think I am feeling better, although my breasts are huge! Will this go away after hormones adjust or am I on too high a dose?

You may well be on too high a dose of one or both.  Either can make breasts swell and be tender and this is not unusual when you start hormones, but generally goes away in the first month.  you are actually on the highest dose of the patch and Prometrium, so might be better off cutting both doses at least in half and increase gradually as needed for symptom control.

Good luck, Carol,

Sandy

Watch this video about menopause and menstruation, a normal, natural shedding process of the uterine lining that occurs monthly in all healthy adult women after puberty.
